We had a wonderful 4 night stay here recently. The welcome is friendly, the room comfortable and well equipped and the breakfast is delicious with a huge choice of cooked and cold foods.

Belmont is an excellent choice of B&B if you want to be in Hugh Town. It is on the edge of town but only 5-10 minutes walk from the centre and the beaches, and just a bit further to the quay.

Excellent value for money, spotlessly clean, great breakfasts with lots of choice and lovely fresh fruit and a really good location.

A real gem of a B & B, one of the best full English breakfasts I have had in a long time, in a great location, just 5 mins walk from the main area, easy access to the beach and the shops / bars.

Our location
Belmont is conveniently located on St Mary’s, just on the outskirts of Hugh Town. It is close enough to both Hugh Town and Old Town that it is an easy walk to either, but far enough out that it is quiet. The shuttle buses from the airport stop at the door, or it is an easy walk from the quay if you arrive by ferry. A short walk in any direction will take you to spectacular scenery and gorgeous beaches.
Things to do
Boating: Choose from day trips to the other islands; trips around the rocks to see the sea life and evening supper trips
Walking: Either follow your own route or take one of the guided walking tours and learn about the wildlife, historic sites etc.
Beaches: Spend some time on one of the more popular beaches or take a short stroll to find your own private cove.
Activities: Hire a bike, snorkel with seals, try windsurfing or sailing, go horse riding, visit beautiful gardens. These are just a few of the activities to choose from.
Indoors: Visit the many studios and galleries to see the artists and crafts people at work; learn about local history at the mobile museum; or try the pool at Normandy.
